German Shepherd Dog / Husky

Large • Baby • Male

Spayed/Neutered • Up-to-date with routine shots

Max is about 10 months old and still a puppy boy who we think is part gsd and part husky. Max is a sweet boy who is pretty confident for a puppy and loves meeting new people and going on new adventures. You can say he is an outgoing boy. Max is house trained and crate trained.Max has good manners and being a puppy is curious about everything. Max has lived with other dogs but he is starting to show signs of being a dominant personality. He has been exposed to many dogs and comes across pushy but playful with the right match. It best he be the only pet unless you can work with teaching how to play nice. Max shows signs of having a prey drive so no cats for this guy. We know he lived with young kids for a short time but have no knowledge of how he was with them, kids over 10 would be best. Max will need a home with a 6 foot fence, being part husky. The brief descriptions we have posted about our dogs are based on our observations and interactions with them since coming to our rescue. We will take our dogs out into public areas to watch their behaviors around strangers and other pets while walking them. We also place them in a daycare facility to ensure that they are sociable with other dogs and if not, which dogs they do not perform well around, such as small dogs or another large breed. When available, we place our dogs in a foster home to observe their house manners and help them to trust people again. If we observe bad behaviors we work with them to correct behaviors such as jumping on furniture or paws on the counters. There will be times that we will not be able to provide the answers to some of your questions – like are they good with children or cats – especially rescued dogs found as strays with little or no background. Even though we spend as much time as possible interacting with all our dogs, and they behave a certain way when with us, German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies cannot guarantee their future behavior with their new families.
