Jasmine

German Shepherd Dog / Rottweiler

Large • Baby • Female

Spayed/Neutered • Up-to-date with routine shots

Jasmine was saved from a high kill shelter where she and her brother Aladdin were set to die just for being there. They both were picked up by animal control when caught running loose on the streets. Jas is only 6 months old and a little shy and timid of new people, places and things. Just like her bro she is rather calm for a puppy but she does love to play with other dogs, splash in the water and she learning how to play fetch. Because she is shy and timid a more quiet home would be best for her. Jasmine will need a person who is ok taking things slow as she gets use to being out in public with the noise, the activity and with strangers. She lives with many dogs in her foster home and this is helping her gain confidence, so a home with another young, playful pup would be best. She is non reactive to the cat when he walks by her kennel and we think with training she will be fine. Kids would be overwhelming for this sweat soul unless they are older and calm. We are looking for a place with a fenced in yard as she enjoys being outside as much as being in with her people. If you are looking for a special friend to grow with, then here is your baby. The brief descriptions we have posted about our dogs are based on our observations and interactions with them since coming to our rescue. We will take our dogs out into public areas to watch their behaviors around strangers and other pets while walking them. We also place them in a daycare facility to ensure that they are sociable with other dogs and if not, which dogs they do not perform well around, such as small dogs or another large breed. When available, we place our dogs in a foster home to observe their house manners and help them to trust people again. If we observe bad behaviors we work with them to correct behaviors such as jumping on furniture or paws on the counters. There will be times that we will not be able to provide the answers to some of your questions – like are they good with children or cats – especially rescued dogs found as strays with little or no background. Even though we spend as much time as possible interacting with all our dogs, and they behave a certain way when with us, German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies cannot guarantee their future behavior with their new families.
